HOTEL ICON DEBUTS ALASKA CRABTASTIC BUFFET AT THE MARKET
The Market, the well-known buffet restaurant at Hotel ICON, is known for its diverse cuisine prepared by international chefs in multiple open kitchens. From 1 May to 30 June 2024, The Market proudly presents its first-ever luxurious Alaska Crabtastic Buffet. The team of talented chefs showcases their extraordinary culinary skills and prepares a variety of exquisite dishes infused with the flavours of different countries, all featuring Alaskan King Crabs as the key ingredients. Guests can savour more than 10 different king crab dishes, which will be served in a rotational basis during both lunch and dinner sessions. What’s more, the eye-catching whole Alaskan King Crabs will be displayed on the buffet table for guests to capture the perfect photo.
Hotel ICON’s Executive Chef Danny Ho, carefully selects the king crab from the finest Alaska for The Market, renowned for its exquisite flavours and succulent meat. With its generous size and natural flavour from the deep sea, Alaskan king crab is truly a delicacy to savour. To showcase the crab’s best through its long, thick, and flavourful crab legs, Chef Danny and his team have introduced a remarkable addition to The Market's buffet experience, Grilled Alaskan Crab Legs, which are available at the live grilling station with an attractive aroma. The station also offers Roasted Alaskan Crab with Garlic Butter on a rotational basis, ensuring a memorable and flavourful experience that will leave a lasting impression.
In addition, the buffet offers a wide range of dishes from cold appetizers to hot delicacies, including several exquisite preparations featuring the prized Alaskan king crabs. These include Singapore Chilli Alaskan Crab and Black pepper Alaskan Crab. The executive chef has meticulously crafted these two hot stir-fried dishes, taking inspiration from renowned Singaporean restaurant. The use of tangy and sweet chilli sauce and the aromatic essence of black pepper create an authentic and traditional flavour that is truly enticing, making them the highlights of this crab feast. Seafood enthusiasts should not miss other delectable dishes includes Chinese Cheese Alaskan Crab with E-fu Noodle, Steam Alaskan Crab with Tofu & Chinese Rice and Alaskan Crab with Thai Glass Noodles etc. These dishes showcase the versatility of Alaskan king crab and cater to different culinary preferences, ensuring an unforgettable dining experience for seafood lovers
The cold appetizers showcase an array of prestigious dishes that exemplify the finest culinary craftsmanship. Steamed Alaskan Crab with Chinese Wine, one of the highlight dishes, is a culinary masterpiece that embodies the essence of Chinese tradition. The luscious crab meat is delicately marinated in the sweet and nuanced flavours of the aged wine, creating a symphony of taste that delights the palate. Moreover, The Alaskan Crab Mango Salad and Alaskan Crab Avocado Salad served as appetizers in the buffet truly open up the appetite. What’s more, to enhance the opulence further, the buffet offers an unlimited supply of Fresh Salmon Roe; the crisp texture, shimmering appearance, and intense seafood essence combine to create an unforgettable gastronomic experience, ensuring that every guest revels in the utmost satisfaction.
The dinner buffet will feature an exclusive offering of Sea Cucumber with Vegetables on Mother’s Day Period from 11 to 12 May 2024. Guests dining at the weekend buffet for lunch or dinner can enjoy a complimentary Hokkaido Milk Pudding with Peach Gum and Bird's Nest.
